Because we are a constitutional republic....the government themselves cannot violate your rights and etc so they push that onto private businesses.
And so they can do it by gathering your data biometrics and whatever it is and then relay that back to the government. But.....if anyone remembers I repeat myself ....no one at any level of anything.....have any authority private corporate or municipal to dissolve subvert eeduce or otherwise sispend the authority of the constitution and bill of rights
If a business is based out of the USA, and if the USA has the constitution as the authority for any and all legislation at each and every level of government jurisdiction, then that business as well as anyone else are subject to the same authority as well as protections of the constitution.
This also holds true for any foreign business they must fall under the USA constitutional law doing business here .
Guess what
Because any entity is listed as private also does not give it authority under any classification to violate your constitutional rights.
